That's kind of hard to believe for an aggressive marketing company like Best Buy. Moslems are only about 1% of the population in the US and thus are inconsequential for marketing. Alienating the other 99% doesn't make much sense.

Questor.  I think you missed the boat on this one.  The muslin religion is the fasted growing religion in America today; depending on what source you rely on, the percentage of American muslins range from something between 12 to 15 percent.  Current data indicates there is a new Mosque being build someplace in America every day.

America is already infected with the muslin disease and there appears to be only one way to eliminate it from our system.  Dwell on that!!!!!

If Best Buy offered 40" flat screens for $250.00 I wonder how many people who were  boycotting would run to Best Buy to get one?

Americans tend to have a short memory.........especially when it comes to money.

It's hard to believe it's grown that much since the last credible numbers I saw perhaps a year ago, which put the percentage between 1 and 2 percent. In fact, every reasonable looking source I've seen puts it in that range.

I hate the Muslim religon as much or more as most of you people here but this but when this country was founded freedom of religon was a big part of it. If they have such signs I don't like them either but we do have freedom of religon here. Dale

Well Dale, there is freedom of religion but that does not mean that anyone has to support Best Buy or anything else that they don't approve of! Just like freedom of speech! If you own a newspaper and  praise alla in the editorial section, and it offends some people, you have the right to say that, but they have the right to not read/ buy your paper.

That is very true. I have bought things from them in the past but will no longer. Just like if I run out of gas acrooss the street from a Citgo I would walk a couple miles to get gas from another station. Because our money for gas from a Citgo station goes directly into the pocket of the guy that says he wants to see the USA fall. Dale

From day one I always thought that store was the work of the devil, now I see maybe it was just a Muslim terrorist act on America.  Either way, America took the swill hook, line, and sinker.  Now most of America has computers and home theaters and no need to go outside or care about anything that lies outside of their individual bubbles (homes).  In a sense, the items that store sells have made a bunch of mindless fools out of us.  We think we know everything by what's fed to us via the internet and TV and we get the feeling that we need nothing else.  No one but only a few feel that unification of people and country is essential and so now no one wants to fight wars or support wars and/or kick some @** on people or countries who need it as we did in the days of WWI, WWII, Korea, etc.  Sounds like something that the terrorists would like us to become, doesn't it?

Whether it was a ploy or not, (which I don't think it is) either way you look at it, Best Buy and the home electronics industry has changed America for the worse.

What did you do today...for Freedom?
Today, at the front, he died...Today, what did you do? Next time you see a list of dead and wounded, ask yourself: "What have I done for freedom? What can I do tomorrow that will save the lives of men like this and help them win the war?"

You may be thinking of Circuit City (which did go out of business).  Best Buy is still going pretty strong.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
