Warranty question
« on: December 03, 2009, 01:34:43 PM »
A friend called tonight and said his 45-70 would not cock!!  He says the Tranfer Bar broke/came out.  This is on a 4 year old rifel.  Since this is a SAFETY issue, will NEF fix it at no charge??

They're real good about after warranty coverage, they'll most likely fix it for ya, can't hurt to ask, but he can also fix it himself, a bunch of members here have replaced the t-bar(lifter and striker) themselves using Perklo's trigger hone instructions, Brownell's sells it, Gardner used to send them out for free when something like this happened, but Madison CS won't IIRC.
