I have a 94 AE in 356 Winchester that needs a rear sight. The base of the factory sight is intact but the actual sight blade and leaf are gone. I am thinking about trying one of the scout mounts that uses the rear sight dovetail and the front holes in the receiver to mount. Has anyone tried this and if so, what are the pro's or cons.
