Remington 750- 35 Whelen- issue w/ ejected cases
« on: April 28, 2009, 08:20:39 AM »
My new elk assault rife is a Reminton 750 in 35 Whelan. The mouths of the ejected cases are deformed. The ammo was Remington Express Rifle 250 gr. PSP
1. Should I worry about this?
2. Will it be an issue if I decide to reload them?
Thanks for any input.

No issue.  It is not uncommon for case mouths to be deformed in an autoloader.  The case mouths from .223 cartridges fired in my AR-15 are dented but reload just fine.  I wouldn't worry about it.

Bummer. I was looking for a reason to badmouth Remington all over the internet! ;D
Thank you sir! It's my first autoloading centerfire and was a bit concerned. Back to the range!!

My 7400 really dings up the mouth of the 35 Whelen brass. But the rifle shoots very well.
Cost of shooting.
