Accuracy in your gun?
« on: December 13, 2009, 06:53:58 PM »
Considering a HandiRifle,I am not sure on the calibers yet-but I DO wish they offered .222 and .32/20.
Anyways folks, would you please trespond with
 1. Your rifle's caliber
 2. Factory ammunition used
 3. Accuracy as far as group size that your gun gave you.
As I said,I am just considering...THANK YOU for your time! :)

My favorites:

1.  30-06 Standard Handi, I started out with Remington 150gr Core locks.  Then went to shooting handloads.  At 100 yards all holes are touching.  At 300 yards I can hit a 4" clay target every shot.  At 500 yards I can hit a 1 gal milk jug every shot.

2.  .223 Ultra,  I shoot Ultra Max reloaded ammo.  55gr Nosler Ballistic tip.  Again I don't measure, but all the holes are inside the black square on the sighting in target at 100 yards, most are touching.  At 400 I can hit a 4" clay target every shot.  I seldom try shots beyond 400 yards with the .223.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

I do not shoot any commercial ammo in my Handy rifles.  My favorites are my 38-55 Target in which I shoot a 250 gr Lee round flat point bullet sized to .379 over 18 gr of AA 5744.  Gives me three inch groups at 200 yards.  The other is my 223 bull barrel ultra varmint in which I shoot 55 gr Hornady V-max over 26 gr of H335.  This load gives me 1.5 inch 200 yard groups.

.357 Magnum.  Ream it to Maximum and shoot .38s, Mags and Maxis.  Very versatile and inexpensive with the .38s.
