17HM2 at gunshow
« on: October 03, 2009, 05:03:59 PM »
I was at a gun show today and saw a guy had not one but two H&R 17hm2 sporters for $229 each.  Man I wish I had the extra dough.

Yep, they're little rifles...I wish NEF would re-introduce them. I've been trying to grab one off the classifieds, a bit too slow,I guess.

WSMBUCK,
I sent you a PM.  I haven't seen them that cheap.  I did see one a few months ago for $220.

Yeah, they're great little guns.  I bought 2 last year at this time at Bass Pro who was closing them out.  I believe I paid about $119 each.  I bought ammo when it was on sale at Midway for about $3.50/box.  I wish that'd happen again, but I am not holding my breath.

Man if this one was priced that low I would have bought it as well.  Never that kind of luck at our gun shows though, I guess they think it is a museum or something, crazy prices.

No experience with the round, though I've heard great things. Tell me it's deadly accuracte in the NEF version so I can have something else to lust for.
