17 HMR rechambered to...
« on: December 03, 2009, 07:55:43 AM »
Thinking of having MGM rechamber my 23" 17 HMR to either 17 Ackley Hornet or 17 Fireball and wondered if anyone here has done this and if so what type of accuracy you are getting? Thanks.

that would be a good idea and depending on how tight the chamber is it should shoot great, and in the long run it will save you money becuase 17 HMR is so stupidly over priced it is not even fun and it is not a great round for much of anything.

Agree with the ammo being over priced now days compared to when I bought my truck load, but you are dead wrong about it's usefulness.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I recently had a 17 Mach 2 barrel rechambered to 17 Fireball by OTT.  I am very happy with it.
