Most any of the instant or 10 minute epoxies will work for small bedding or repair jobs. It's much more convenient than mixing up some Acraglas.
I used JB Weld to bed some revolver grips just a few weeks ago. Apparently did not use enough release compound (I used Breakfree CLP) and half the danged grip stuck to the revolver frame!!
Let that be a lesson to you: use enough release agent and enough of it to make sure you can get the metal away from the wood when it cures!
I will usd a light grease next time, or some of that filmy blue plastic liquid stuff that comes in the Acraglas kit.
