Don't worry, Washington is not about to shut down. This Democrat Governor is like all of them; when she first took office, she and her Dumbycrat legislature increased the number of state employees substantialy, so any cuts will only be a fraction of what they should be.
When Gregoire was elected, she promised that she would not raise taxes. That promise lasted about five minutes. I will give her credit that she made some cuts that only a Dumbycrat could get away with. If a Republican Governor had made those same cuts, the liberals would have gone out of their minds
Politicians aside, the worst enemies of the people in this state (Washington) is the idiot people themselves, who have had numerous opportunities to vote for limits on taxes and have chosen to allow the legislature to tax and spend and spend and tax.
