CVA:) 45-70 barrel:(
« on: January 10, 2010, 07:21:40 AM »
I have owned Thompson Encore, Pro Hunter, Contender, G2, NEF, Rossi and H&R single shots with pistol and rifle barrels. I wish I had owned a CVA Optima Elite sooner. The action far exceeds any listed above BUT have one major draw back. No one local sells barrels for them and if you want to order one they have a back order of 60 to 90 days. what in the world! Like others I'm looking for a 45-70 barrel and more without the wait.

I have an Optima Elite in .243. Where did you get your 45-70? The only place I see that might have them soon is Midwayusa, which according to their website expects to have them around the middle of next month.

I was in the process of selling my CVA and stick my Fav H&R 45-70 when a guy from Gun Broker contacted me about a CVA 45-70 barrel.
I never wanted to get rid of my CVA because of how it's built and more important the action. I just wish the made a folding stock for it so I wouldn't have to make one to fit in my pack. ;D
