I put the Boyds Thumbhole stock on my main Handi frame today, mounted my 20 gauge Ultra barrel on it and went out back to my 50 yard range. First round fired but the next 6 would not go off. I switched the barrel to my shotgun frame and what do you know all those rounds that wouldn't go off fired. Nice shooting barrel too, it seems to really like the Buckhammers. So I then put the 44 mag barrel on it which came with the frame and it shot just fine except the point of impact was 2 inches low instead of 1 inch high. The Thumbhole stock has a different way of recoiling. I resighted in of course. As to the misfire issue, previously I had no problem getting Brenneke slugs go off, they were also very accurate but aparently the Remington Buckhammers have harder primer cups. This frame has had a trigger job and possibly taking a bit more than a coil of the mainspring brought it out of the realm of hard shotgun primers.
