USH is finicky
« on: December 08, 2009, 02:30:35 AM »
My buddy says that a USH is an unforgiving gun and that is why he doesn't shoot one.  I have a USH in 12 ga. and I don't really think so.  I have never shot any other rifled slug gun so I have nothing to compare it to.  What do you think?

Never heard it was finicky there are only 2 negatives that I can attest to with the USH and the ULSH and have owned and shot them both along with both Trackers and they are all more than just good slug guns that shoot a wide variety of slugs. The 2 cons are the USH was to heavy for me to carry some times and the ULSH was light and Kicks like a mule so I guess that makes me a little finicky try to carry one all day and it's heavy try and shoot the other all day and it hurts. go figure. Why not just purchase the USH youth model?  It weighs less than the USH (the barrel is 22 inches long instead of 24 inches for the standard models) so it's not too heavy to lug around, but weighs more than the lightweight model so you don't get the snot kicked out of you?

The length of pull is a bit shorter, but most people are wearing heavy clothes during the gun seasons.  If it's still too short, you could always add a slip on limbsaver pad (over the existing stock/pad) or purchase an adult stock.

I personally don't mind the weight,  I have a sling on it and have not had a problem with carrying it yet.

Mine is real finicky it'll only drop what I aim at. And a few jaws to boot.

That's funny.

By finiky is he refering to the ammo it likes? If so he has not shot many rifles or slug guns  :D

If you like your 12 USH, you would love the 20 ;)

I think he was refering to being unforgiving.  That you have to be perfect on trigger pull and how you hold your gun.
