Touching up parkerizing
« on: November 05, 2003, 01:29:00 AM »
On another forum I was informed about using Brownells Aluma-Hide ll for touching up worn off parkerizing.  This stuff works great and matches pretty close to the orginal color too.  One of my 49/56's had some worn off the barrel and i touched it up.   It comes in different colors too.

Yo BigBill:  how much does that stuff cost?  It sure sounds like a good fix.  Thanks.  Mikey.

The 8mm sporter I'm building is almost done and the nickel plated reciever looks shabby with the blue barrel I may buy the black parkerizing and do the gun up.
