I have been thinking about trying to find a .375 Win for my Contender. Some of the reading I have been doing says you can use 30-30 brass resized and others says taht you need to use the Factory brass because it has thicker walls. Any knowledge or opinions?

I have heard you can use 30-30 brass also.But 375 brass is not hard to find. If you have trouble drop me a line I have some new & once fired I will let go .Might have a set of lee dies also :lol: Dennis

I make my own for low to medium power loads. I have a 140 grain cast bullet for a 38/55 and it blows them out nicely with a few grains of Unique.

I have also heard that 30-30 brass can be used, but should be used with caution and reduced loads. I have personally never used 30-30 brass...Midway had .375 Win brass available, and I purchased several hundred rounds from them. Availability was no problem, and the price was not too bad...obviously more than 30-30 brass, but not too bad on the wallet. I forget the actual price, but I know it wasn't that bad.
