a happy man today
« on: December 09, 2009, 11:54:20 AM »
i spent about 2 yrs haunting the h+r classifieds looking for a 45 LC barrel to match up with my 45LC Ruger Bisley....and today it came in the mail. Dropped it on the frame i wanted to use it on and it locked up tight with perfect headspace...no fitting to be done on this one. 20" carbine barrel...nice and light...i'm a happy man today. Can't wait to get to get to the range.....many thanks to Deadrabbit....Mike

Congrats, I would like to find that same barrel as well.  If I can't, as soon as H&R offers them again I will be in line for one...

Good for you Mike, I hope my .270 barrel will fit up to my SB2 receiver,
but I won't know for a week or so until I get home.

Just try your Ruger loads.  Those work well, could be stepped up some for the carbine, but then you would have to make sure you didn't get them mixed up.  That is why I will be using the reamer to 454 to KEEP things from being mixed up.  That and the fact I have 2 other 454 rifles.  DP
