Hi All. I'm new to this forum but not a newbie to firearms!

I am fairly new to PC's though! I'm 54 and semi-retired and love to hunt and shoot firearms of all kinds. I live on 34 acres in northern Wisconsin that is part wooded part field; yes I have a nice spot to practice.....I'm very thankful. My eyesight is not what it used to be, but I am currently considering purchasing an H&R CR1871 BC. My funds are limited and this gun fits the bill as they say! Besides, I'm very interested in the classic single shot firearms....ie: 45-70. I will be posting some questions on that forum soon. I will try to not become a pest with too many questions, who knows.....maybe I can offer some help, I do have quite a few years of knowledge and experience and sometimes my technical background comes in handy! Looking forward to my stay, I think it will be educational and fun.

Welcome David, like to see someone my age [ 50 ] I'm new to the sight too. this is my second go-around on this sight, last time was one year ago. Here to stay if they'll let me. It's unreal how much info exist's here. I've shot Handi's ever since I was old enough to work and buy them. People alway's asked, why buy a cheap gun, if they only knew ! I'm retired also,due to circumstance beyond my control, but I can't complain, I am truely blessed :)
