hey how about my reference to you earlier... the red scare.  were you around for that one (I thought you and dee were but gray hair doesn't necessarily OLD.. just not young  ;D  )  I know you were around for the sixties which also read like hell.  I'm trying to get a link to the past on this one- I can read all day and night but then again I'm only gonna read literature I assume credible so that's biased.  Then again I'm on GBO which is a shooter/conservative biased site.... FORGET IT, GIVE ME YOUR BIAS!

i do remember well the nuke attack drills at school ...get down under your desk head between your knees...lol i laugh about now but it was indeed a scary time for kids and adults.

like that was going to save us...the area i was in was supposedly number three on the russian target list. the golden gulf coast houston beaumont pt. arthur orange the oil and gasoline refinery center of the U.S.

there used to be a lot of missile silos here in missouri, also whiteman afb is nearby. ... I bet nukes wouldn't get us before tornados though, or liberal/pc brainwashing in schools.  how'd you all survive that, was it just softer rhetoric then?
