P345 Ejection
« on: October 14, 2009, 04:10:14 PM »
My P345 ejects the shells so they hit me on the head or between the eyes. Is there any way to adjust the ejector, possibly the angle to change the ejection trajectory?

Thanks for any help,

Steve

Steve,

Try holding the gun sideways so they eject to the right or down!  :)

I am only kidding.

I wouldnt mess with anything if it is ejecting reliably.  Try holding your wrist stiffer and see if they eject strait up.

If all else fails, make sure you are wearing eye protection.

Call Ruger and see what they say! My P90 would do this on the last round -very annoying to get hit between the eyes! I think they can change the ejector-might have been cut wrong!  My P345 doesn't do this so I say there's some amis!

I would check to see if you have some leading in your chamber or on your feed ramp.  Also see if you may have a little piece of lead or something on your bolt face.   My P345 ejects brass directly to my right and possibly just a little back.  When my arm is fully extended my brass lands about 6 feet directly to the right of my body.

Mine does the same as Steve P's except throws then a tad bit farther.
