scope for 410
« on: December 11, 2009, 10:21:10 AM »
I have a 7.5 pound 410 shotgun and need help on a scope for it.
I'll be using 3 inch shells and wonder what kind of scope to use
Would a 22 mag scope handle thr recoil or do I have to get a shotgun scope?
Any advice would be appreciated

Guess I'll chime in.  Shotgun scopes have heavier rec ticles, lower powers and sometimes, shorter paralax adjustments because they are set up for less than 100 yard shots.  You can try your 22mag scope and see what's what...scopes for rim fires tend to be rather cheaply made, depending on make and model.  Try it, shoot it a bunch and if it self destructs...get a new scope of decent quality.
