TC Bone Collector ramrod
« on: December 16, 2009, 10:43:22 AM »
My new rifle's instuctions seem to show the ramrod being used with the power end [the little T handel] pushing the bullet down the bore.
Is this corect for this rifle?
I have been shooting side locks only, and never had an inline before.
Also the hammer seems a little week in its fall. Will it light off a 209 cap?
I will be shooting it Thursday.
Thanks for any info.

Put a couple of caps through it and see (make absolutely sure rifle isn't loaded).  I always pop a cap to make sure flash hole is open before shooting and hunting.  T-handle ramrods are nice.  Have one on the range rod.  Makes seating the bullet easier.  T-habdle goes into your palm.  Jag goes into the bore.  Also, give that new BC a thorough cleaning with solvent, then dry patches, then windex before the first round.  They put packing "grease" in some rifles and you'll end up with a tough loading mess!
