What is the difference between the leupold vari-x I and the rifleman series??

Hey guys I have a 3-9x40 vari-x I on my 260 and my brother has a rifleman series scope on his rifle.  They seem almost the same I can't really see the difference between them.  So do any of you know the difference in them as to why the prices or different for these two when they seem identical? Thanks guys.  Sorry guys I meant vx-I compared to the rifleman series

Do you mean VX-I?  If so  http://www.leupold.com/hunting-and-shooting/products/scopes/
