Which direction does The rear sight tap off on the 45 Colt carbine?

Thank ya..............I'll give it a try, though I did manage to dig up a scope that just cleared the rear sight and hammer.........had a red dot on it, but got curious to see how good of groups it will shoot. I love the carbine..........any other Handi's that handy?   I know my 30-30  isn't

I'm workin on a 260 Remington Superlight in the new style synthetic stock, it should weigh about 6¾lbs with 3-9x40 scope,  Wayne is reboring a 243 Superlight barrel for me.  :)

Spanky, where did you get a 32-20 Handi?  Is that a custom job or did H&R once make 32-20's?  Have I missed the boat here?

My barrel was a stub project. There are a few of 'em floating around here now.
the 32-20 is a natural for the Handi. It shoots great.

My .32H&R mag Handi is pretty Handi head shot tree rats ain't got a chance of stayin in the tree much less bang than a 22 also shoots 60gr and 93gr cast same hole every time @50 lots of lead takes em right out of the tree. ;D Kurt

Ahh yes, I DO recall seeing that thread now.  I wondered who ended up with that barrel.  I would LOVE to have a Handi or classic carbine in that caliber.  I don't know why it was never made.  I would think that they would have made one from the start a long time ago.  ???
