Best Burger Joint in Every U.S. State, Ranked
« on: January 22, 2024, 08:34:25 AM »

https://www.farandwide.com/s/best-burger-joints-united-states-3ef1fe2379b148bc

I put this here to show how wierd what is a hamburger has become in the U.S.
There are maybe three from the pictures I might try; I have been to the Minn. joint and the free beer glass was the highlight. I had a plain hamburger which was OK but I have had better at a lot of beer and burger joints.

This one from Nic's Grill in Oklahoma City is one of the few I would try as it is a basic burger, not a casserolt in bun.

The place listed as the best burger joint in Kansas has been closed for over two years. Useless list of salad burgers with enough crap on them that you can't pick them up to eat them.

Many of those had no appeal.  Not familiar with the one mentioned for Arkansas, but I highly recommend the Brandon burger in Cecil Arkansas at the Cecil Store and Grill.  The Brandon has an onion ring, cheese and barbecue sauce on it and is named for one of Brad Pitts' gardeners.  The meat is the best I have ever eaten.  It is worth the one hour drive for me to get there.

Nothing worth mentioning in
this area anymore.
Just a few of the usual spitburger
fast food
McSalty's,  Booger Queen, Taco Smell,
Jack in the Crack, and the assorted
cardboard pizza places.
Hoodrats don't appreciate decent food.
These days I cook my own hamburger
if I want one. I know my hands are
clean, and when I set whatever on the
table it's spit and mucus-free and properly
cooked

Used to be some really nice hamburger and
barbecue places nearby, but they're all gone
now
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Cannot argue with that. I sure dont want a hair mcmuffin or a saliva laced slider. I cook my own and know the cook. He may be an A hole, butt, the food is clean...

The best burger restaurant in this
area was in an old building and
was operated by an elderly white
haired lady that made everything
on the spot, and never served anything
that wasn't enjoyed by the customer.
The yuppies online gave bad reviews
because the building had a "bad"
restroom, and she only served ice tea
and cold drinks, no beer or alcohol.
The menu was also brief like all the
other good food places I've ever
been to. Hamburgers with or without
cheese, and choice of lettuce, tomato,
onion, pickles, and mustard or mayo
or ketchup or all. Green lettuce salad
available. No tacos, no chicken nuggets,
No barbecue, hamburgers and fried taters only
Her sign at the register and the window
also chapped yuppie butts.
"WE SALT AND PEPPER OUR HAMBURGER
MEAT AND SALT OUR FRIES.  IF YOU
WANT DIFFERENT, PLEASE SAY SO AT
THE TIME YOU ORDER. THANK YOU "

Whataburger used to be a good place
until they got "corporatized"
Now they're not much better than
McSalty's or Booger Queen
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Somehow, the burgers formed by hand, and served in a  small, home owned restaurant always seem to be good..

Burger places, both corporate and private , are pretty much divided between those who smash the buergers, my choice, and those who just throw the patty on the grill or fryer.
Cooking show and articles are equally divided. 8)
