1976 Ruger Stainless single Six and current production

Les,

I would have to get the older gun out and compare, but I THINK the only differences between the early production stainless Single Six .22 and the current ones is that the early guns do not have the warning roll engraved on the top of the barrel:

"WARNING!  READ INSTRUCTION MANUAL BEFORE USE.  MANUAL IS AVAILABLE FROM STURM, RUGER........."

HTH

Hunt with it!  I hate to see folks with guns that don't want to shoot em.  Crank it out and enjoy it - bust some squirrels, rabbits, or something.
The intruder turns around slowly, sees both barrels, and hears a low-deep voice say "Son, the left one's iron and the right one's steel, if the left one don't get you, the right one will"
