Another place to live!
« on: December 04, 2012, 02:54:12 AM »
God is giving us another opportunity and a better place to live.

My ex-wifes husbands mother needs someone to stay with her, getting on in years and needs some help.  My wife elder-sat with her one day.  A few days later we were made the offer - live there, rent free, and help her as needed, which really won't be all that much, and when she reposes (likely in a few years), we get to by her double wide for a buck.

So, a place to live, some of our food paid for, utilities paid for, maybe a little cash to us, and, in a bit, a chance to buy the mobile home.  That gives us the means to pay off our overdue debts and do some good at the same time.

God gives us what we need when we need it.  We just need to be smart enough to say "Thanks, Boss" and accept it.

Glad for the all-around good news, and here's hoping it goes well.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

JOE. Great news for you and your family and also for the lady in need. Being around Christians will probably be a great comfort to her. More prayers sent. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

Thanks, guys.  Been kind of hectic.  We moved in Saturday (mostly), then Monday morning she fell and broke her right hip.  This after having surgery on her left in early Nov.  She got real combative when we tried to get her to the doctor - feisty little old lady has quite a punch!  Had to call her son to come and "reason" with her and put her in our truck.  Doc told us to take her to ER.  Been an exciting few days.

Anyway, her name is Beverly and some extra prayers on her behalf would  be appreciated.  Both for her physical and mental conditions (she has a touch of dementia).
