Single Six 32 H&R shoots too high?
« on: February 04, 2010, 03:19:13 PM »
Hey all....Have a Single Six in 32 H&R 5 1/2 with adj. sights....all ammo shoots too high by 8" with back sight bottomed out.  Need a fix.... Any ideas on a front sight replacement? Like the High-Viz replacement for MKII/Single Six/Buckmark but assume that it is the same height? Like the idea of fiber optics front...old eyes.  Thanks for any help. Scott

I don't know the part numbers but Ruger has some kinda tall sights available.   I have them on both of my .32 mag. Single-Sixes.

Try different ammo

Okie2 you have a PM.
I would think a good gunsmith could do something like this to your front sight base.
Add the dovetail slot and put a front sight in it (fiberoptic, gold bead, etc...)

Down the page there is a front sight pic, simular to my idea.

I just found this at Brownells, I have a sight like this on my SBH, and its nice. The white stripe really shows up in poor light.
