     Good post. Great read.
I just ordered some 405 gr bullets for mine. I have been shooting those 300 gr reloads, and really liked them. But, this reloading gets in your blood, {50 years) and You just have to try something else. ::).
     I enjoyed the story in the article. Kinda makes you feel like you are the one sitting on that 3 legged stool.

He seems like a good writer....paints word pictures.  I'm gonna do a search on his other writings if any.  Glad you enjoyed it.

Mr. Doughty is a very nice gentleman. I traded emails with him a few years ago about the Turkish Mauser Scout Rifle project he did. I go to that site on a regular basis checking for more articles. Just not quite the traffic on his site as there is here!!!

He's written a lot of interesting stuff about hunting and outdoors stuff on that site -- and if you're into blues music he has another interesting site about that too.
