I've been wanting to scope my G98/40 mismatch shooter since I got it from Dad to see what it was really capable of shooting. The big thing was I wanted a mount that required no drilling !!

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2...ER_SCOPE_MOUNTI already had the scope just needed the mount and and rings. Install was easy just remove rear site and spring , install mount with roll pin and tighted down, mount the scope.
I went out and shot the target below and was impressed as this was my cast load and with open sites(old eye's) I couldn't get it to group this good! It was shot kind of in a hurry cause the ground was thawing an where I shoot it get's pretty mucky quick so I had to get out of there!
