No one needs to base their judgment of Palin's character, or what she is about based on what you hear on TV. Or what you read in some slanted article about her. Just read her book, it paints a clear picture of her character.

i never have doubted her character. she seems to be a level headed woman with a moral compass that others sadly lack. i am wanting to see her learn or express more in depth knowledge of world events. you have to admit she sure did not show a good side to that. considering where she was from and the job she had it really was not neccessary only in the oil area and i bet she knew her stuff.

yet for me to vote for her as a candidate for presudent she is going to have to show me more in that tarea. she has time to dig out the books and learn and i know she does not have to have compete knowledge to be a good president. she must show a steady hand in a crisis and a good moral base from which to guide her decisions and a strong will. she has done all those things and proven she has what it takes but she still has to show a pretty in depth knowledge of the things outside of alaska.

I don't know about that.
She has only been in 50 states so far.
And Obamuslim has been in 57 so far! (OR SO HE SAYS!)

57 states that one sure showed why he uses that teleprompter. i bet they are more afraid of him talking unscripted than they are of biden. it is so noticeable how he really stays away from one on one except for his loving followers at msnbc.

 Fourbee;
    I think you have a valid point there, since it seems to be the primary problem with the Republican establishment. There are a certain number of them comprised mostly, although not entirely, of what TM refers to as "neocons". they are fiscally conservative, but culturally  out in lefty land.

"Fiscally conservative" ? Neocons?  I don't think so.  In the store store with Mommy and Daddy Taxpayer, you can find the 'neocon' kids over in the toy soldier section, along with babies Pelosi and Obama now, who wander over there now and then from the doll make-up and play-Doctor section.
ALL of the kids busy spending all the $ they can.
I say Palin is just celebrity make-up and diversion. Her handlers decide for her.
Go with Ron Paul.

   RG;
     Ron Paul..not part of this discussion...but getting back to the discussion, are you ready to admit that Palin is a lot more valid than some like to admit ? ...And are you ready to side with us, that many of the accusations about Palin...especially the one about her viewing Russia from her back yard, were not only false but likely malicious ?

Sorry about Ron Paul - I just like him so I'm always talking about him!
Sure, I'd love to be proved wrong on Palin - you betcha!  You can't help but like her in ways - and I know the 'left' martini crowd and the media slams her hard - of course they lie about her. Malicious? You know it - they hate her.  That's a good sign she is on the right track, with enemies like those.

RG;
  Thanks, that engenders in myself a bit more confidence in where you're coming from. :D ..Not of course that you have to prove a thing to me..
    Palin alone is not the answer, but rather what she obviously stands for. I believe that is why the TEA party is leading both the Democrats and Republicans in people's estimation.
    Yes, I appreciate what Ron Paul stands for, particularly on the domestic issues, where he was closer to the ideal than anyone running in the last election. When I said at that time that he likely could not win and that in the US at this time a candidate needs just a bit more "pizzazz" to be successful...some took that as a personal rejection of Ron Paul. On the contrary, it was a realistic estimate of the electorate.
   Most adults are qualified to vote, even though many are not qualified to walk and chew gum at the same time ! I looked at it this way;  federal elections are usually won or lost by a 1-4% margin. How many "voters" out there are glued to the TV, watching "American Idol", "So You Want to Dance", "Jackass" or some kind of Hip Hop, instead of exercizing their gray matter, analyzing the candidates and issues ?
  The fact that such an imposter as BHO can be elected by an even larger margin, only adds credence my point. If there ever were an opportunity for a third party, it is now. However, if the third party doesn't make a solid hit in 2010, their chances will be greatly diminished.
      Come this election season, I expect the best chance will be an amalgamation of the TEA party and conservative elements of the Republicans. Either one alone, cannot have a hugely decisive win...and that is what is needed.
   I think that is what we should look toward, and I don't care what they call it; TEA party, Republican party or Freedom party . The important part is the basic aim of the members.  Name of the new party ?..."a rose by any other name...".
   Could be a place for RP, but realistically, he would need a running mate with some of the old Pizazz..remember, elections are usually  won by a narrow margin. True, the "hip & flashy" has worn thin since the empty suits in the White House have shown their lack of experience and world politics acumen, but still there is the margin of ignorance to deal with.

Hey there folks -

I feel pretty much the same way... she pisses off all the right people!
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

ironglow, I think it would be interesting to see Paul and Palin run on the same ticket.  I think Ron Paul has the best mind for it with his conservative values, his stance on the constitution, and his conservative economics ideals.  I'm a Ron Paul fan, but I have to admit.  If I were to ever vote for a woman for president, it would be Sara Palin.

I think the key though is making sure people like Rand Paul, Peter Schiff, and other constitutional conservatives get voted into congress and take democratic seats.  I also think we need to start paying more attention at the state level and vote for gubernatorial candidates that will tell the federal government to stick it.

  Paul/Palin or Palin/Paul..which way and why ?  personally, I could vote for either ticket way ahead of bow-to-Islam & Biden-bumbles..
