A new R9 runs around $260 without scope. If the one you're looking at does'nt have a scope you save $40 but you don't know if it has been dropped or dry fired. That is my favorite gun by the way but for $40 I would go new. Now if it has a good scope and mounts it might be a good deal, see if you can try it to see how it shoots. I just got mine back from a tune with a Maccari kit, sweet gun!! good luck ,DP
