cant say for sure what the shortest is, but alot of guys have theres cut down and threaded for chokes. Toss on a youth stock and it would be a compact gun

The one on my Survivor is about 18-1/4 inches. I don't know if you can get one from the factory anymore though.
Have lights? Thank a Lineman!

You used to be able to have a 22" Youth 12ga fitted at the factory, but I think they no longer have or offer them.  You will most likely have to make your own.  Lots of guys here have done and there is no shortage of tips and ideas for a shorty 12ga.  Must be some big snakes if you need a 12ga.  The new 20ga Tamer is 20" and Modified choke and would work well on snakes and lots of there game and critters too.  A good alternative.  Just my 2 cents.

you can still get the 22" mod barrel as far as i know. the 24" full choke is the shortest barrel you can get with out sending it in ive got the 24" one its a great shotgun nothing says dead snake like a full choke 12 gauge :)
