The TCR and Encore are both 1:12.

No idea on the Mossberg SSI, but since the SHOT Show is in town right now it reminds me of seeing/handling the prototypes of these rifles at the SHOT Show here in 2000, about a year before they came out.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

Well it would seem that the twist rate is to fast from what I read on other post and will only shoot factory loads in 55 grn because of length and weight of bullets. I shot some 69 grn in  the tcr and they left a keyhole type hole not a perfect keyhole but a little longated where as the SSi 1 left a perfect hole with same bullet so its twist rate must be slower. will do some more checking I really think the problem is undersized bullets as there is about 3 thousands different in the 69 grn. and the 55 grn. have checked 4 different brands and all are the same except the 69 grn.

Did some more searching and have found a chart for twist rat on all mosberg SSi1 rifle barrels and the twist rate for 223 is 1-9 so that is the reason it will handle the heavier bullets.
