a company rep at the last shot show did indeed say they(magnum research) cant make frames as cheap as ruger can produce them,ruger has their own metalurgy plant and their strengh is unmatched.
I happen to like the fireball and report from the 454,mastering a big round gives way to fantastic shooting with the smaller guys.
I would suggest using lots of slow burning powders in 454 rounds,you do not want to mess up and double charge a rounds with hs6 or fast powders.
I like to have at least 50% of the case capacity filled with powder for both performance and safety.
