Who made it? WWF Mod80A
« on: January 08, 2010, 01:26:54 PM »
Hello All,

I have a Pump 22 RF       "Wards Western Field"    Model 80 A    This is a take down Pump 22, tube fed. side eject port.

It was given to me years ago by the owner of a slaughter house, you can tell how they grabbed it to dispatch critters. The pitting gives it away.

Do any of you know who actually made this gun for Wards.

Thank you,

Ken

Savage/Stevens

Thank you for the reply!!

 I don't know how I missed it as a Savage 29A.

I always Looked it up under Wards and didn't realize Numrich ( Gun Parts Co.) had a Westernfield Heading.

If Savage made their 22 pump. Who made the pump shotguns? Mine sure looks like a Mossberg.

Their house brand guns were made by a variety of makers.

The vast majority were probably made by Mossberg, Savage/Stevens, and High Standard.

If yours looks like a Mossberg it's pretty safe to assume that's who made it.

 I had a Western Field 12ga that was a Mossberg 500.

You might find out what yours is here...
