M1 and M1 Carbines from Korea
« on: December 06, 2009, 04:56:49 PM »
I heard that Korea is releasing 80,000 M1s and 30,000 M1 Carbines to the US market.

Anyone know who will be selling them?

If they were "loaned" to korea they legally have to be returned to our government and will go thru the cmp. if they were bought by them then they will come back thru the importers who will buy then from korea.
the nation that forgets it defenders will itself be forgotten

..I wish they were going to cmp.

Speak for your self. I don't have a "official club" that I can use to buy from the gvmt. I do have a C&R to buy from importers.

MnMike:  start your own club.  List yourself as President and official club member, and then add yourself to the Range Officer list and Manager of the clean up crew.  I had to do the same thing in south American about 40 years ago when some of our guys needed handguns or wanted rifles.  I could not get anyone to ship down there unless we had a 'Official Club' (no definition given).  So, I made one.  Walther and Sig Sauer pistols were the biggest sellers, along with M10 snubbies for revolvers, and Winchester rifles.

Start your own club and invite us all along..............HTH and jmtcw.

All you have to do is join the Garand collectors association for a small fee for the CMP affiliated club. They have the applications right in the CMP store or on line.
