i've only caught reds and blacks in louisiana. they're pretty much blond where i trap in mississippi. hairs different also, shorter haired here and longer guardhairs in mississippi.
i actaully find the yotes here prettier than the ones i've taken in mississippi. shorter hair but you get a wider range of colors here
i may take you up on some dogs, i have quite a few traps needing work. i have a stash of a few dozen Mb 550's, and 650's. a couple 750's but haven't set them in the ground yet. i'm still playing around with these dukes. i do have some really nice traps modified by jason i've been using also.
i have only 5 sets out for the past few days, i pulled everything thinking the hurricaine that came thru last week was going to dump a load of water on us but we didn't get any rain at all. passed all east of us but we did have a bit of wind for one evening. i live right on the coast here, seen alot of hrricaines here in my lifetime, the eye of katrina passed only seven miles east of my home here. winds were clocked at 175 here.
place is infested with yotes . they've never been trapped until i started setting a few last winter. they've been here for 25 years or so. we see them in our back yards and have become a problem
awaiting some bridgers now in 1.65 and 1.5. i have a good fox population at camp in Miss. heading up there in a couple days for two weeks, to do thankgiving with wife and kids. thing we do every year, spend time at our other home and get away from here. i have to get to tying a few flies also. bringing my stuff up to camp. been away from my desk much to long and i miss strapping feathers to a hook.
