Has anyone tried the IMR White Hots BP sub and what are your thoughts about these ?
How was clean-up ?
What kind of loads did you work up and what kind of grupes did you get ?
Thanks

Better late than never. Yes I have tried IMR White hots in my Knight original disc rifle today (pellet cross-fire breech plug installed). Range weather sunny 27 degrees. IMR white Hots 2 pellets, Remington STS primer, Harvester Scorpion PT Gold 260 grain. 3-9 Bushnell Scopechief sighted in dead on at 100 yards 4 shots cut the same hole and two flinch flyers just outside the cluster group. Second group fired two more shots cut one big hole. 50 yard verfication with 100 yard zero point of impact approximately inch high. Impressed with the accuracy of the load combination to say the least. This rifle never shot like this before. Only complaint the stuff is just as dirty as 777 pellets. Swabbed between each shot for consistancy. Fired 15 shots total and it was a real chore cleaning the rifle afterwards. As with 777, the breech plug was getting tight at that point. But can't complain with the accuracy. This will be my hunting load in future for sure.

If I am not mistaken they are the same thing as triple seven just a different color. You can do a search of this site to see more info on the white hots. I have never tried any as I read they were the same as triple seven. I have swapped to blackhorn 209 (and other than a small problem with hangfire which turned out to be a mechanical problem with the gun) I haven't looked back!

I tried BH 209 before trying the White Hots. Did not get the same accuracy with BH 209 using the Scorpion's or Sabot-Hornady XTP in my rifle. I actually missed out on meat this season with BH 209 in cold weather (21 dergrees) swoosh instead of bang. Was using Remington STS primers not fully aware that in cold weather anything less than CCI mag or Federal 209A could cause problems. My bad. It would have been great if BH 209 was not so finicky with primers. The White Hots ignition was perfect from shot to shot using the Remington STS which may have contributed to the accuarcy.
