Mauser Fourm ??????
« on: January 02, 2010, 04:54:20 AM »
I want to see if anyone is interested in a forum for Mauser's. I know very little about them and could use an education. Lord knows there are enough of them out there.
I can moderate this forum, but would prefer to defer that job to someone more knowledgeable than myself. Like I said, "I know very little about them".

I like the idea, Bingo.
You don't need to know everything to be the moderator, just watch over the forum.

I'd be interested in that forum.

I'd like to see one. I would moderate if one was needed. I have built up a few small ring mausers and have a Kuhnhausen manual on them.

I feel the customised military and commercial mausers desrve to bwe seperate from the military arms and bolt action rifles.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

I could support such a forum and agree commercial and sporterized mausers deserve to be seperated from strict military mausers. Good idea.

Wish I still had my Mauser 96 Broom handle Bolo.
By the way it had a section calling for Mausers after the question I am guessing that we have a forum.  Cool.
I am down to only a few mausers but may be time to start up again.
Dr Doug.
Nice rifle.   can't elieve how your gun smith when making a backwards rifle even made a backwards shirt.  That is dedication.   ;D

 A Mauser forum?

You must have been talking to my therapist.  For several years I've been undergoing intense therapy for MOS (Mauser Obsessive Syndrome). I get rapid breathing. The shakes. Feelings of extreme anxiety.  I get out old beater mil-surp mausers and fantasize about transforming them into express rifles or Jack O'Conner like sporters.   I  look at old books and internet pics of Mausers.

My most recent Mauser fantasy is to take a standard mil-supr beater, but a new barrel in it, a new match trigger, have it pillar bedded and glassed so that it's a tack driver.  Outwardly, it looks like an old beater Mauser that was through the wars.  Inwardly, of course, it's a precision state of the art tack driver.   I fantasize about going the range and  challenging suckers to wager about whose rifle is best so I can  outshoot their fancy new rifles (that they can't shoot) and take  their money.  Kind of like  a pool hustler.  :)

Thank God for this forum.  I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

;D I really like mausers my first rifle was  a k 98  paid the princely sum of  $90.00  :D  now i wish i had never traded it. I look forward to see all the neat rifles that pop up on here . btw  if i am not mistaken I think that midway usa will soon be selling unbarreled actions soon.
