Any reccomendations for a good bullet for this carteidge for deer and also for elk? This is my first 30 caliber weapon and I just had dismal performance with the factory loaded Core Lokt Ultra bullet. I always used Nosler partitions with good results in my 338 but am interested in you guys experience with other bullets. Any insight would be welcomed.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

You may want to try the new Nosler 200 gr. Accubond bonded bullet. It may be too long for the SAUM to get best performance but I use it in my 300 WM and it is holding consistent 1" groups at 200 yds. at 2950 fps. I leave tomorrow for CO elk drop camp so I hope to be able to post up some post mortem results.

You can't go wrong though with 180 gr Partition which would probably work better with shorter case capacity of the SAUM.
