Happy New Year to one and all

This old fart is going to bed now. The neighbors are sure firing off a pile of fireworks. IF it was warm I'd go out and watch but it's not and I ain't. Night all.

Happy New Year to all!  I watched the ball fall in New York on tv so it's off to bed for me.  Besides, I have a new (to me) black powder gun to play with tomorrow so I needs my beauty sleep to be fresh!

Yup this one perfectly describes how I feel this morning. In addition to sleep apnea I suffer from insomnia so last night I cut an Ambien pill in half and took one half of it. Some times when I do that it seems to do nothing and some times it seems to make it almost impossible for me to rise and get moving the next morning. Today it is the latter so the image below is about how I feel rat now.

We had a big dinner at a friends house.  Then we played cards till almost midnight.  Ten minutes till we put on our coats (it was about 15 below) and went outside.  We watched the fireworks all around the neighbor hood.  After about 20 minutes the display started to subside so we said good night, got into the car and drove home.

This morning we all slept till 11AM.
