I have a fairly inexpensive scope ring base (B-Square aluminum) attached to my .308 Winchester Browning BAR LWS. I do not want to use any screw attachment chemicals such as loc-tite. I have found with better scope bases on my Remington 7400 that an initial loosening followed by re-tightening results in no loose base for hundreds of shots or several years, whichever comes first. I am open to recommendations on good quality one piece bases that will fit snugly and have screw holes in proper alignment. Thanks.
