Edge im saying that i catch alot of big coon in my offsets set for canines. The pad catch is the same on a coon as a canine and they  are setting there onery as all get out LOL, when i get there.  99% of sets are in open so coon dont have anything to grab on to so no powering out.  I have also used offset traps for front foot bvr and find they are easier on the foot and  with proper swivels they are down at the end of the drowner cable.  I  tried  some of my offset canine traps when i ran out of  other bvr hardware  about 30 yrs ago and found it works, so use it  once in awhile now days  a  know it works.

Yes, I've caught coon in offsets this year. BUT, and this is a big BUT- I've taken at least 15 in non offsets, including a 25 lber this morning, that have been sitting there with ONE toe in the trap.

No way, no how would those coon have been there in the morniung. I DO like the #2 fully modified offset BRIDGERS for coyotes, but I would never delibrately set an offset for coon.

I just won't!  And you can't make me!   :-D

Now, now Steve settle down der hey now!!! NO one, i say no one said to use offsets for coon NOW DID WE.  Nope no one said use offsets for coon.   What was said offsets can hold coon.  Now if  some reason  animal steps wrong  and toe catchs , BYE BYE coon.  Now that we have that digested  any skunks up by you?   I was wondering if they migrated fm here  up to by your stomping grounds?
