You can. Check the firing pin size.

The only problem I see is primer issues as Joe eluded to, the Bee operates at 40kcup which is less than the 357Maximum with the same size case head, the Max seems to work fine on SB1 frames with the right primer choice.

I have a 22 hornet barrel that was reamed out to 218 Bee.  It fit nice and tight on one of my sb1 frames, with a large firing pin, so that is were it is today.  I worked the trigger over a bit to lighten in up other than that I didnt do anything to the frame.  I tired Remington 7 1/2 benchrest primers and was haveing problems with blowing through, tired winchester small rifle primers and it doesnt have that problem.  I used it this past year in Montana and there are plenty of dead p-dogs that, if they could, would tell you it works fine.

It's like lots of things, there are ways around a problem.  Proper solution is to have a small fireing pin that doesn't have much slop in it.  If you don't have that, then another solution is to use primers with thicker cups, that will work also and is a perfectly fine solution to the problem.  A factory has to produce a rifle that will be good with anyones factory ammo, but you are not so constrained.  Larry

P.S.  I did find the ATF transfer laws printed on ATF Stationary about transfer from a nonlisensee to a lisensee, however I am kind of afraid to post it for fear of being forever banned.  Larry

Larry, I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I just started a business w/ my bosses and we are submitting our ffl forms.  Anyway, while reading in the question and answer section of the ffl habdbook, it said that an individual could ship out of state to an liscensee(ffl holder).  Does your letter say something different?  I don't want to screw up w/ the new business, so if ot does - will call the atf for clarification.

My belief is that you are correct, however this is a forbidden area of discussion here, so we would need to discuss it between ourselves without GB being involved.  I understand his reluctance to allow something that he believes would bring the rath of the ATF on his business.  Larry
