Whats your favorite powder for 223 &22-250

I got some Varget for my 22-250 and I will soon have a 223 to shoot. I'm looking to try another powder so what are some of your favorites for these calibers? I was thinking of trying Benchmark or BLC 2???

The best powder I have used in a couple of 22/250's is H4895, however I have never loaded for the 223.

In the .223 I use blc 2. but h335 works good too!!

like the .25-06, .243, and .204, i am going to recommend Varget. :)

 :D My favorite for the .22-250 is H4895 for the .223 I have used a bunch of H4895 but my favorite for it is BLC2...

That Varget has been a strong runner here for a few years now, so strong that I may try some.

I have been using Imr 3031 for predators & H380 for varmints in the .22-250

I gotta go with Varget too for .223.  I've used alot of IMR4895 and dabbled with H335, but now am exclusively using Varget.  I think it is better for the heavy 77 and 80 grain bullets, and shoots the lighter ones just as well.

223 ,,i use 26 grains of varget,,as for the 22-250 ,,i'll use varget ,but just ordered my barrel,brass and dies today so the rest ,i hav'nt figured that part out yet.haveto wait and see ;D

Hands down THE powder for the 22/250 is H380. It was designed for this caliber!!  38Gr's and a 55Gr bullet makes for an excellent load!! THAT'S THE NAME IN THE CAN!!

For the 223 I really like another Hodgdon powder, H322 and a 52/53Gr match hollow point bullet sparked with a CCI BRII primer.

223 = BENCHMARK    24.7 grains  and  any decent 55 grain has shot lots of groups under a half inch in many different rifles with no pressure signs     
22-250 = h380

loaded a few .223 with H322 with 60 gr. V MAX hope to crony them later today. its really cold in Iowa today!!!
