black powder measure's

 100 grain of volume measured charge of  black powder (fffg)  is equivlent to 82.5  by actual weight,,,,,,,,,,100 grain weighed charge equals (121  volume measured )     .now in my t/c endeavor ,loose powder say's some is a no-no and to use pelets only.   so what's your thoughts... i know the book calls or pyrodex or equivilent (ffg) but i like the finer powder ,seems like it ignites quicker..better safe than sorry  my ole grandpa  used to say,,so i thought i'dgive y'all a shout about it ;)

i shoot loose t7-fff all the time,i've also been told not to exceed 110gr vol. as it makes it's pressure faster than 2f powder....karl

Whatever you use, alway measure by volume on black and subs.  All are designed this way.  100 gr. by weight will vary greatly, and in all instances will be more powder...maybe too much.
