Not sure what a "cody" scout is, never heard of one.
I had a 50 cal scout, which was an inline that used #11 caps on a large nipple/breech plug. Kind of looked like an old Winchester without a lever.
These were also made in 54 cal. Both calibers were not great shooters and a pain to clean. TC screwed up with the barrel twist in these guns big time, 1:20
although I have heard some were 1:28, not sure on that one.
IMO it is probably not worth more than $150 and then only to a collecter.

My guess is the scope is a Lobo on a rail mount.
A picture would help to give you a positive identification.

Congrats on the "Cody Scout"! The Scout was T/C's first inline, and did originally come with round barrel or octagon to round in 1 in 20 twist. The second year of production the twist was changed to 1 in 32. Here is where the fun comes in for your "Cody". Two runs were made using 1 in 48 twist in an octagon barrel. I was told that it is the Renegade barrel shortened. At least mine is 1" and same 1 in 48 twist as my Renegade. One run was for Davidsons "Texas Scout"(?) and the other for K-mart "Cody Scout". Ran down this info from an older worker at T/C about two years ago. My Cody .54 shoots PRB very well with 60 grains of Goex FFg or with the same amount of Pyrodex RS. Like the way it handles the PRB so much that I haven't tried anything else. Mine was used, but in terrific condition and I traded for it at a gun show. If memory serves me, I have about $250 in the rifle. WOULD NOT SELL IT FOR THAT! Later I was able to obtain a Scout pistol in .50 caliber and it likes 50 - 60 grains of 2F with PRB. Not to hard to break down and clean either.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!
