That was great! Yep, what happened to the tube? From that puff of dust, looks like that bowling ball sprouted wings to get that far! I liked the safe way they stayed down for the firing...

Neat , Can see the ball @ the 27 28  sec. part of video .  Nice ring . Mine will ring like that with a 3.5 oz load.
Want to build one that will use a lb of powder . will be pay for view event to pay for the powder

You can click on the right bottom of screen to go to YouTube, and view it on full screen, but I still can't tell if its something propping the tube up from the front that separates, or if the tube itself is damaged.

On You Tube it says that they used 2 lbs. of powder. Kind of overkill I'd say.

Seacoast's Mortar throws water jugs of much greater weight and has a more intelligent design, the one in the video was over kill

     Frankly, we would much rather be associated with builders or collectors of carefully planned, robustly built, and sensibly shot artillery.  It bothers us a bit that these videos by idiots are becoming more and more common.  Carefully planned proof testing of a new, but properly built design is NOT what we are talking about.  Modifying DD's statement just a bit, we emphatically state this to be true:

                     If you have to run and hide from your cannon to shoot it, then you are an idiot!

Those are our thoughts on this topic.  Clear enough?
