I shed hunt allot!
I found a few matched sets, this year & wanted to share these pics with you guys & get your opinion on them.
I know what kind of deer they are from but don't want to tell until I get a few guesses.

This first pic is of my best set of the year.


1st. what kind of deer do you think they are from?

2nd. do you think this is a nice size rack? mass & length ? there aren't any hidden tines, what you see is what it is.

This next one is my favorite & also a birthday gift from the good lord above, Thank you sir!
What do you think about this deers unique characteristics?
He is a cull buck right? well if he was harvested he would be. right?






Cool looking deer huh? By far the coolest deer I have ever had my hands on. Its a shame he has been dead for over a year. Most would say that these are the deer you want to take out of the jean pool.
I dont agree. I like the more unique, uneven or odd racks. He measured over 16 inches tip to tip, 20 inch outside spread, has a 3 1/2 & 4 1/2 inch brow tine & has almost 5 inch oval bases!  
He's in a bucket soaking right now so no unofficial full score yet.

Boy I guess you do,do a lot of shed huntin. Looks like some good keepers. Seems like everytime I find a good skull, I don't have anywhere to carry it

I found the skull & the left side of that set on my birthday in Oct.
When I'm out in the woods I only carry a small slim camel bak, probably the smallest one they make, anyway I never have any room for sheds. Thats why I'm glad God gave me 2 hands.

Some nice looking racks there. Wish I had the time to lok for sheds. The one time I found a deer with a nice rack was a couple years ago. Some one gut shot him. He was so bloated & stunk so bad. I couldnt get close to him.  So I let him lay. Went back thru there looking for him a couple mths later he was gone. Oh well. Great hobby you got there. Thanks for shareing the pictures.

I only have a week or two before I start pickin up some fresh sheds. Its nice because we havent even had any snow stick around for any longer than a day & I dont expect any to till mid feb.

I really should have looked at the news or out my window today before I said that!
O my! We are about to get hit with a few storms starting tonite & for about a week!
crap! I didnt have gas to go shed hunting today & I think it was my last chance to go before the sheds are covered up with a blanket of snow.
Fingers crossed, I hope its just rain. maybe some sun for a few days after, before the full force of winter hits.
