My vote goes to the RCBS unit with the 3-way trimmer
Trim and campher inside and out in one step.
What about the units you mention that you do not like?

I've been completely satisfied with my Forster Case Trimmer for the past 50 years.  It's simple to use, very high quality and does an excellent job of case trimming with ease. 

I've also found it comes with accessories that other manufacturers only offer at an extra charge.

The Elmer's stopped working so I switched to SUPER GLUE !  :D :D :D

Only problem is that the keys don't move like they used to .  ;) :o ::)



As for Trimmers - I have 2 Forster's mounted on my bench , one for the shorter stuff like 223 and another one for 270 / 06 size case's . Both are set up with power screwdriver addapters to speed the chore , if your looking for the Boss of power trimmers , here you go .

I have a Dillon 1200 and I like it.  The downside is it is expensive and basically is a single caliber tool.  You can purchase additional trimmer heads to install on your motor, but I just use it to trim .223's.

I installed the trimmer on a separate tool head.  I placed a depriming/resizing die in the #1 hole; the trimmer in the #3 hole (you have to use a roofing nail to hold the head in-place to use the trimmer in this hole) and a belling die in the #5 hole.  I spray lube the cases and drop them in the case feeder.  It is very easy to completely process 3K of brass in an evening.  After trimming, I tumble them to clean the cases and then hand prime just before reloading.

My shooting partner has a Giraud and it works well, but it is not nearly as fast as the Dillon.  The plus side to the Giraud is that it chamfers to case mouth while the Dillon leaves a flat cut.

I reload to varmint hunt so the chamfer is not that big a deal to me.  However If I were a target/bench rest shooter I would definitely go with the Giraud.

Heck, I go with the cheapest alternative. The Lee lock stud cutter and bullet guide. I just chuck the shell holder doodad to my electric drill. No muss or fuss, and cut to perfect length without me having to set up for the correct length.
