I have had good luck with H4227 and the 240gr XTP's at 25yrds to 50yrds but,pass that groups open up.What would be the next powder to try I would like to stay with the 240's.
The 445 is a T/C 12" barrel

You might want to try Accurate Arms 1680. This powder at near maximum loading groups real well, although the recoil is a bit stiff.

If you shoot it a lot, surplus military WC680 works great and is cheap. It's noticably faster than AA1680 though, so back off and work up from that data if you get any. Usually runs about $60/8lb. from the military vendors such as Jeff Bartlett or High Tech Ammo. Also might try Pat's reloading.
